Individuals applying through this pathway must at minimum be in the third year of their undergraduate honours program in Computer Science at the University of Saskatchewan. As part of their honours program, applicants typically will have completed the following courses: CMPT 214.3, CMPT 215.3, CMPT 260.3, CMPT 270.3, and CMPT 280.3 prior to application.
Admission Requirements
- 4-year B.Sc. honours degree in Computer Science, including the Software Engineering Option, or Applied Computing, from the University of Saskatchewan.
- a cumulative weighted average of at least 80% (U of S grade system equivalent) in undergraduate computer science courses, including CMPT 400, 403 or 407
- Two leters of reference, with at least one being from an academic reference. One leter may be from a professional reference
If applying during Year 3 of undergraduate honours
- Completion of CMPT 886, CMPT 887, and the Honours Project course with minimum grades of
80% - Completion of 6 credit units from an approved list of CMPT 400-level courses*, with minimum grades of 70%
If applying during Year 4 of undergraduate honours
- Completion of CMPT 886 and the Honours Project course with minimum grades of 80%
- Completion of 3 credit units from an approved list of CMPT 400-level courses*, with minimum grades of 70%
