Students who, in conjunction with an Arts & Science degree in a different subject, take 18 credit units or more of Computer Science courses will receive a Minor in Computer Science. At least 3 credit units must be at the 300- or 400-level, and at most 3 credit units from CMPT 100, CMPT 102, CMPT 105, CMPT 111, CMPT 113, CMPT 115, CMPT 116, CMPT 140, CMPT 141 and CMPT 175. Courses listed under the “C4 Major Requirement”, “J4 Major Requirement”, “M4 Core Requirement” or “M5 Major Requirement” of the student’s program Major cannot be used to meet requirements for the Minor.

The Minor average in Computer Science will be calculated using the grade earned in the first 3 credit units taken from CMPT 100, CMPT 102, CMPT 105, CMPT 111, CMPT 113, CMPT 115, CMPT 116, CMPT 140, CMPT 141 and CMPT 175. ; and all grades earned in courses eligible to be included in the Minor program requirements. Students must complete at least two-thirds of the program requirements (rounded to the nearest highest multiple of 3 credit units) using courses offered by the University of Saskatchewan to meet the Residency requirement.
