This certificate will recognize completion of fundamental courses in the Geological Sciences. Upon completion, students will have a basic understanding of the earth and its evolution through geological time, the processes causing this evolution and of the materials making up our planet. This knowledge will be useful to anyone working in industries related to natural resources and environmental management.

Residency Requirements in the Major
To receive a Certificate in Geology Fundamentals, students must complete at least half of the following coursework (to the nearest highest multiple of 3 credit units) from the University of Saskatchewan.
