This 15 credit unit certificate (two year course of study) is open to all students at the University of Saskatchewan. The primary focus is on jazz music studies, with a 3 credit unit elective option to pursue additional study in jazz or to include creative work from cognate disciplines which includes, but is not limited to, Music, English, Art & Art History, and Drama.

The major average in the Certificate in Jazz includes the grades earned in:
- All courses eligible to be used in the program.
Residency Requirements
To receive a Certificate in Jazz, students must complete at least two-thirds of the following coursework (to the nearest highest multiple of 3 credit units) from the University of Saskatchewan.
