A base of knowledge in agriculture of the Prairie Region of Western Canada is an asset to those seeking entry level, non-professional employment, educators, experts who wish to broaden their scope of professional practice into agriculture. The Certificate in Introductory Agriculture offers the opportunity to develop this base of knowledge and obtain a University of Saskatchewan credential, at a distance or in-person. Students will learn key competencies in the field of agriculture, diverse ways of knowing, agrology and professional practice in agriculture, the scientific principles that govern agriculture, and economic and environmental impacts of agriculture. Each of these courses are transferable to a diploma or degree program in the College of Agriculture and Bioresources.
