This certificate will recognize a student's proficiency in fundamental concepts in the core areas of chemistry (physical, analytical, organic, and inorganic), with specialization in one (or more) sub-disciplinary area. This knowledge will be useful to individuals who seek an advanced secondary school chemistry teaching specialty, and for those completing programs in other colleges where an advanced knowledge of the foundational areas of pure chemistry will be advantageous.
Students interested in using this program to ladder into a 3-year or a 4-year Chemistry degree program should consult with a program advisor.
